OK so it might not be a blockbuster, but the video from the World Vendor Awards earlier this month is now available. Our video portal has a number of interviews as well, viewable at www.totaltele.tv/wva but you can watch the overview here.

iPhone 4G?
Late last year Total Telecom predicted that Apple would not launch a new iPhone this year:
"The 3GS was a refined iPhone 3G; there isn't a lot more they can do with the hardware at the moment - other than make one with a better camera, more memory, an OLED screen and a projector - and there isn't a lot more they can do to the software without forcing app developers to invest more time and money into a new SDK," one of the team said.
"[However] by the end of the year Steve Jobs will reveal that Apple is working on an LTE-ready mobile phone," s/he added. At which point, there will be mass hysteria in the industry.
However, recent developments suggest we might be wrong. Yesterday Apple confirmed that Steve Jobs will deliver a keynote at this year's Worldwide Developers Conference on 7 June, triggering a raft of rumours that the CEO will announce a 4G iPhone at the event.
So, what do you think? Will 7 June be D-day for the next iPhone and if so, what can we look forward to seeing? Leave us a comment or drop us a line to let us know what you think.

Google to close Nexus One online store
Google plans to increase the presence of its Nexus One handset in U.S. retail outlets before closing down its Web store, the Internet company announced on Friday evening.
It also said it plans to make the phone available in more countries worldwide, and to do that it will follow the model it has used to date in Europe. That is, working with operator partners to bring the phone to market.
"While the global adoption of the Android platform has exceeded our expectations, the web store has not," Google said on its blog.
"It's remained a niche channel for early adopters, but it's clear that many customers like a hands-on experience before buying a phone, and they also want a wide range of service plans to chose from."

And the winners are...

Last night saw the presentation of the first World Vendor Awards at the spectacular UnderGlobe in central London. More than 150 guests gathered to enjoy drinks, dinner, and of course the awards themselves - brilliantly introduced and hosted by Dominic Holland - described by The Times as ‘The Uk’s master of observational comedy’
Particular success was enjoyed by Huawei Technologies, Juniper Networks, and Comviva Technologies - you can view the full list of Winners and the Highly Commended finalalists here.
Of course there is always one no-show, and the prize for Best Mobile Device goes to Apple - who aren't here. What a shame!
