Verwaayen says no room for everyone in equipment space

The global telecoms equipment market can only sustain three or four major players, Alcatel-Lucent CEO Ben Verwaayen told the Franco-U.S. vendor's annual meeting on Friday.

Supporting more players will only lead to losses for the industry, Verwaayen said, according to a news snippet from Dow Jones Newswires.

Naturally, Verwaayen is confident that ALU will be one of the survivors, the newswire said.
