WCA Category Spotlight: Best Global Operator
As the World Communication Awards draw nearer we’re finding it harder and harder to hide our excitement here.
As part of the World Communication Awards we’re releasing a set of Category Spotlights (in countdown fashion of course) highlighting the finalists for that particular category. We started things off last week with the Best Brand Campaign and now we turn our attention to the Best Global Operator category.
AT&T is one of the most honoured communications holdings companies in the world, operating in North America, South America, Europe, Asia, Africa and Australia with customers in practically every country on the planet.

The sheer amount of IP-based business communications services is one of the most advanced in the world.
NTT are the top ranked telecommunications company in the world. The company offers seamless services in 196 countries/regions, operates more than 150 data centres, has one of the world's largest IP backbones and is Asia’s largest network wholesaler. With Enterprise customers outside Japan number over 3,400. NTT Com has formulated a global cloud vision as a strategic plan for increasing revenue and profits in the enterprise sector.

It’s also worth noting that in April 2014 Tata Communications was for the first time awarded a position in the ‘Leaders’ quadrant of the Gartner Magic Quadrant for Global Network Service providers. The Magic Quadrant evaluates companies based on ‘completeness of vision’ and ‘ability to execute’.
Telstra Corporation Limited (“Telstra”) is one of Australia’s leading telecommunications and media services companies. It is a global supplier of managed network services and international data, voice and satellite services, providing scalable and reliable managed network services.
Telstra has a global footprint in Asia, UK, Europe, Middle East, Africa and the Americas. Its network capabilities are among the largest and most diverse in Asia Pacific. With its international presence including and international Group, headquartered in Hong Kong; Access to 230 countries and territories and more than 2,000 PoPs around the world; A network that stretches over 364,000km around the globe, nearly half the traffic from which feeds into major hubs in Hong Kong and Australia; and a global presence with over 4,000 staff in more than 20 countries.
Telstra’s aspiration is to provide the best service in its industry and has been working hard to put the customer at the centre of everything it does every day. Today, Telstra has about 75,000 more advocates and around 160,000 less detractors than last year and it’s clear that efforts are having a positive impact.
