WCA Category Spotlight: Best Global Operator 

As the World Communication Awards draw nearer we’re finding it harder and harder to hide our excitement here.

As part of the World Communication Awards we’re releasing a set of Category Spotlights (in countdown fashion of course) highlighting the finalists for that particular category. We started things off last week with the Best Brand Campaign and now we turn our attention to the Best Global Operator category.

AT&T

NTT Communications 
NTT are the top ranked telecommunications company in the world. The company offers seamless services in 196 countries/regions, operates more than 150 data centres, has one of the world's largest IP backbones and is Asia’s largest network wholesaler. With Enterprise customers outside Japan number over 3,400. NTT Com has formulated a global cloud vision as a strategic plan for increasing revenue and profits in the enterprise sector.

Tata Communications 
Tata Communications provides innovative services across 6 continents through N industry-leading global infrastructure, and is supported by staff in over 40 countries. A Tier-1 global IP network that spans Africa, Asia, Europe, North America and South America. With a massive global customer base including; 3,000 large enterprises, 1,600 service providers and 700 mobile operators.
It’s also worth noting that in April 2014 Tata Communications was for the first time awarded a position in the ‘Leaders’ quadrant of the Gartner Magic Quadrant for Global Network Service providers. The Magic Quadrant evaluates companies based on ‘completeness of vision’ and ‘ability to execute’.
