Top story currently on the Total Telecom website is AT&T announces $48.5 billion DirecTV deal, giving AT&T a significant foothold in the TV market, but do you know what the big news would be if we turned the clock back 10 years?
Well as least somethings' don't change, as 10 years ago Google were still dominating the news with the headline being: Google planning desktop software search tool – NYT - but of course the idea of desktop search doesn't sounds very revolutionary today!
Going back ten years is a nice example of the depth of the Total Telecom archive, but did you realise we can actually perform the same trick right back to 1997, so on the 19 May 1997 we reported C&W and GTE Face Off in Bid for Foothold in Central America, written by one Jeremy Scott-Joynt.
How times have changed!
